How to view details of the windows System File Checker process

System FileYou can copy the information to the Sfcdetails.txt file by using the Findstr command, and then view the details in the Sfcdetails.txt. To do this, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open an elevated command prompt as described in the previous step 1.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

findstr /c:”[SR]” %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >”%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt”

3. Open the Sfcdetails.txt file from your desktop.

4. The Sfcdetails.txt file uses the following format:

Date/Time SFC detail

The following sample log file contains an entry for a file that could not be repaired:

2015-08-17 08:34:41, Info                  CSI    00001d28 [SR] This component was referenced by [l:152{76}]”Package_345_for_KB3081438~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~10.0.1.0.3081438-645_neutral”

2015-08-17 08:34:42, Info                  CSI    00001d2b [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:142{71},l:140{70}]”\??\C:\WINDOWS\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Assets”\[l:106{53}]”MicrosoftEdgeSquare44x44.scale-125_contrast-white.png”; source file in store is also corrupted

2015-08-17 08:34:46, Info                  CSI    00001d96 [SR] Verify complete
